Difference Between Whole Term Life Insurance And Short Term Insurance

There are several insurance plans available in order to benefit large number of people. There is stiff competition among various insurance companies and that is the reason why there are several companies offering different plans with different rates. There are several plans like whole term life insurance plan, term life insurance plan, mortgage life insurance plan etc. In case of former plan you get the benefits for whole life.

Thus there are various plans as per the requirements of the people. Out of several plans mostly the people had a debate whether to have whole life term insurance plan or other plans meant for short term or both. There are some experts who are of the opinion that both the whole term insurance plans as well as the plan for short term are equally important and the person should have the whole mix of both of them.

The benefits of having whole term insurance is that it ensures the coverage for the life term and for that the person is required to pay premiums for the whole life. The biggest advantage of the whole term life insurance is that by this plan you can have the best value for your money. You can even take loan of the basis of this insurance policy. Not only that in addition even you can take the cash before the maturity of the policy. The only disadvantage of this policy is that it is quite expensive as compared to other benefits.

As against this the other insurance meant for just short term is for lesser periods say for period ranging from 12 months to as much as 30 years. Here at whole term life insurance there are no provisions by which you can have cash against your policy. Here incase nothing happens with the insured then no amount is provided to his/her beneficiary whereas in case the insured dies then the beneficiaries are in a position to have the sum assured in the life policy.

Thus there is huge difference between the two policies and it is generally preferred to have the combination of both of them together.
